Leh, Oct 02 (KNO): The administration of Ladakh has announced the reopening of schools up to Class 8 in Leh district, effective Friday (October 3). According to an order issued by the Office of the District Magistrate, Leh, a copy of which lies with the news agency—Kashmir News Observer (KNO), the shops shall also reopen from tomorrow while the operational hours will be from 10:00 AM to 6:00 PM. “Small passenger buses will also be allowed to operate within the district during these hours,” the order stated. The reopening is subject to compliance with Section 163 of the Bharatiya Nagarik Suraksha Sanhita 2023 (BNSS 2023). The administration has urged strict adherence to safety norms to ensure public order during the easing of restrictions—(KNO)
